It’s Friday Afternoon, everyone!!!

It’s Friday Afternoon, everyone!!!

Did you get your hands on the new iPhone 6? Apparently the line ups for the new phone have been so long that people are selling their place in line for thousands of dollars!

Have you heard? Samsung Gear VR Innovator Edition, a new mobile virtual reality headset using the Galaxy Note 4 created by Samsung and powered by Oculus, has just been announced!  On mobile hardware, you can soon easily enjoy VR wireless from your Galaxy Note 4. Oculus created applications (Oculus Home, Oculus Cinema, Oculus 360 Videos and Oculus 360 Photos) for the VR experience and the user is able to transfer between applications seamlessly within the VR headset. The headset will be available to VR fans and developers Fall 2014.

El-P and Killer Mike may regret a silly remark the hip hop duo wrote on their website. That ‘joke’ may soon become a reality: their album, Run The Jewels 2, will be remixed to feature cat sounds (hissing, meowing, purring, coughing up hairballs?). The 2 artists may soon have to eat their words: a Kickstarter campaign was created (we assume by a diehard feline fan) to raise $40,000 for a El-P and Killer Mike remix album feat: cats. So far, 448 backers have donated $7,749.00 towards making this album a realty. El-P has already stated (via twitter) that he would indeed create the album if the amount was reached and he would donate all money raised to charity.

Do you ever feel trapped, confined, claustrophobic on an airplane? Is the fussy baby or chatty Kathy beside you a little bothersome? Check this out! Aircraft manufacturer Airbus has patented a VR ‘helmet’ that makes air-travel more relaxing and less intrusive. The VR helmet blocks out the outside world in a variety of different ways- all appeasing various senses. You can listen to the Frozen soundtrack (we won’t judge) or watch Expendables 3 (“get to the choppa!”) all from within the Airbus VR helmet. Airbus is even thinking about creating ventilation for the helmet complete with pleasing scents being dispersed throughout. Don’t get too excited - this patent is only a patent and the helmet hasn’t actually been created. We hope this idea comes to light as this is an awesome solution to travellers annoyances!
